I am a great grandson of Edgar Thomas Larner. I am currenty a mature student finishing research at the University of Brighton. My thesis topic concerns the Deafened and digital television

Edgar Thomas Larner was born in the City of Norwich, Norfolk, England  in 1869. His occupation was that of engineer/scientist for the GPO (General Post Office) Engineering-Telephones. In those days the GPO was a part of the Civil Service, so he was a civil servant.
 
In 1908, he published his first successful book, the Principles of the Alternating Current.
